This year's Christmas gifts were all about hand crafts meeting the 21st century in the form of Reading Rests for my Niece and Nephew.
For my Nephew a green cotton/linen blend, this is really nice and soft. It would make lovely baby clothes.
Pattern: Reading Rest by Frankie Brown
Yarn: Cascade Yarns® Hampton in Green Tea
Needle: 2.75mm
Gauge: 13 stitches and 18 rows = 5 cm in stocking stitch
And for my Niece a pink 100% cotton yarn. This one is a bit harsher than the green although it may soften up when washed. This might actually be a benefit for this project though.
